Case Study: How ReNRG Helped Seinumero Nirman Go Solar

Gogalwadi Plant
In the heart of Maharashtra’s manufacturing corridor, energy costs are high, and power reliability is anything but certain. For Seinumero Nirman, a precision components manufacturer, this wasn’t just a challenge but a bottleneck to growth.
So when the opportunity came to reduce energy costs, stabilize power supply, and adopt a cleaner energy model, they partnered with ReNRG. The result? A game-changing rooftop solar plant that now powers the majority of their operations, sustainably.

The Problem: High Costs, Unstable Grid, Fossil Dependence

Manufacturing in India is energy-intensive and grid electricity isn’t cheap. In Maharashtra, industrial units pay over ₹10 per unit, among the highest tariffs in the country. To make matters worse, the grid supply is unreliable, with regular outages causing costly downtimes.
Before switching to solar, Seinumero Nirman was entirely dependent on the grid, consuming fossil-fuel-based power to run operations. That meant:
  • High monthly electricity bills
  • Unpredictable interruptions
  • High carbon footprint

The ReNRG Solution: Rooftop Solar at Industrial Scale

In August 2024, ReNRG, backed by Distributed Energy, commissioned a 1030kW grid-connected rooftop solar system at the Gogalwadi facility. Designed to optimize available roof space while integrating smoothly with existing infrastructure, the solution was both technically sound and future-ready.
Key project specs:
  • Location: Gogalwadi, Maharashtra
  • Capacity: 1030kW
  • Type: Grid-connected rooftop solar
  • Commissioned: August 26, 2024

The Results: Cleaner, Cheaper, More Reliable Power

The impact was immediate and measurable.
“Since switching to solar, we’ve not only reduced costs but improved power stability during peak hours,” said the operations head at Seinumero Nirman.
Here’s what the plant has achieved in just a few months:
  • 60% of energy needs now met via solar
  • 165 tonnes of CO₂ emissions avoided
  • 115 tonnes of coal saved
  • Over $15,000 in energy costs saved
  • Significantly reduced reliance on grid power
The factory now operates with far greater energy resilience, ensuring smooth production even during local grid disturbances.

Who Made It Happen

This kind of project doesn’t succeed in a vacuum – it takes collaboration, technical expertise, and the right financial structure.
  • Execution Partner: Distributed Energy handled everything from design to commissioning
  • Decentralised Network Partner: ReNRG is involved in the tokenisation of asset and their consequent financing and allocation

Navigating Challenges

  • Aligning industrial energy needs with clean energy supply
  • Seamlessly connecting crypto users to remote solar offtakers and operators

Why It Matters

This project is more than a solar installation, it’s a proof point. A model that shows how industrial solar in a DePIN can be both economically sound and environmentally critical.

ReNRG’s mission is to decentralize energy infrastructure, and this case validates the potential of rooftop solar in helping businesses and investors:
  • Cut costs
  • Reduce carbon footprints
  • Gain independence from volatile energy markets

What's Next

ReNRG isn’t stopping here. With expansion plans across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and multiple regions in Africa, we’re scaling what works in clean energy solutions that support real businesses and real communities.
